Experience

For nearly 25 years, David Meyer has assisted healthcare providers in developing strategies and implementing business plans that enable organizations to achieve their vision in a dynamic competitive marketplace. David focuses on a broad range of business planning issues, including board-level engagements and system-wide service lines.  David has extensive experience with Certificate of Need and regulatory issues, and serves as an expert witness in CON litigation.  David has advised a variety of healthcare providers, including integrated health systems, urban medical centers, community hospitals, rural hospitals, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, home care and hospice agencies, and long-term care facilities.

Prior to starting Keystone, David worked nationally as a healthcare consultant for North Carolina-based planning firms. David began his career working in the hospital setting, serving in successive management positions at an integrated healthcare system in North Carolina. He had significant revenue and cost responsibilities, and established a reputation for successfully planning and implementing significant organizational performance improvements and cost reductions.

During her professional career, Karin Sandlin has worked exclusively in healthcare.  Karin utilizes her background in Public Health to assist healthcare organizations in regulatory affairs, business planning, and improving their organizational performance.  Karin has worked with healthcare systems, community hospitals, urban and rural hospitals, investor-owned and not-for-profit systems, hospice and home care providers, and physician groups.  In addition to her responsibilities at Keystone, Karin also serves on the Board of Directors for the Carolinas Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development.

Prior to joining Keystone, she served on a management and healthcare consulting team for a North Carolina-based planning firm. Before her career in consulting, Karin was involved in market development for one of the nation's leading healthcare corporations. Karin was successful in establishing new service lines and dramatically diversifying referral bases.
